Building a company in the waste sector is challenging, especially when we started in 2005. We overcame many obstacles and learned countless lessons from them. We never gave up and we keep moving forward, developing the circular economy.
Always ready, over our more than fifteen years in the market we at Fortaleza have segmented our activities into four areas: Waste management and transport (Innova Ambiental), PPE manufacturing (Esfera EPI), stainless steel meshes and filters (SR Telas) and thermal energy as a service (Vapo).
Together these companies generate more than 150 jobs across the country. We are present in four states: Santa Catarina, Paraná, Mato Grosso and Goiás.
We are very grateful to be able to develop our businesses in harmony with the environment, and we are aware of the responsibility we carry. Our dream is to live in a world where everything we produce is circular and we work eagerly every day to get there.
We provide in-company waste management, carrying out the collection, separation, storage, transport, sorting and correct disposal of all post-consumer materials.
We manufacture disposable, waterproof personal protective equipment with circular thinking. All PPE is made from virgin materials with no metal components, allowing full recycling after disposal.
We manufacture AISI 304 stainless steel meshes and filters for extruders, filtering and sieving, an essential step in sorting and reusing materials, with durable, fully recyclable products.
We supply steam and heat for industry from alternative fuels such as RDF and biomass, giving an energy use to what cannot be recycled and closing the loop.

Since 2005 we have been contributing to the world's sustainable development. We started by buying and selling used paper.
Driven by the growth of the business and by the desire to expand into sectors that preserve the environment and sustainability, such as recycling, in 2012 we started new projects with the launch of Industrial Waste Logistics and Disposal services in partnership with BRF.
So far we have managed tons of waste, always seeking efficiency and the highest possible recycling rate.
This year we created Esfera, our sustainable PPE manufacturing company. Aware of the short life cycle of PPE, Esfera was born from the Group's desire to develop equipment that is easily recycled after use, so it can re-enter the production chain.
We are part of something bigger, born from a relentless desire to innovate and find smarter solutions that prioritize circularity, from production to final disposal. In 2020 we reached a total of 10 units managed by the Group throughout Brazil.
We cannot hand a worse world to the next generations, so we put all our efforts into helping preserve the environment. With that in mind, and aiming to send zero material to landfills, we are starting the construction of a thermoelectric plant that generates energy from material considered non-recyclable and reduces methane emissions into the environment.
We want to deliver to our customers (large industries) and to the world a management system that achieves zero waste. All our efforts go into developing innovation and technology to reduce, reuse and recycle any waste produced.
We do not accept landfills as a final destination. Every material has value; we just need to make the ways to extract it viable, contributing to the environment and generating financial returns.
